Football players from some of Europe's biggest clubs are joining a team to promote health messages for the fight against the deadly Ebola disease in West Africa.

The "11 Against Ebola" social media campaign by the World Bank features video appearances by the players who share 11 simple health messages.

The footballers include Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona's Neymar Jr. and Chelsea's Didier Drogba.

More than 5000 people have died in the Ebola outbreak in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The World Bank said that the players' "power of celebrity" will help to save lives by spreading important health advice to families, children and communities.
