People flee as armed groups battle in eastern Congo

The inhabitants of two territories in the province of North Kivu in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo have reportedly fled a recent upsurge in fighting.

The UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, says militia men have raped, kidnapped and killed villagers and other have left their homes.

Many are now sleeping in the bush for fear of attacks.

On the line to North Kivu, Priscilla Lecomte asked UNHCR's Christophe Beau about the latest attacks.
