More jobs needed to avoid "mediocre" future: IMF chief

The world needs more growth and more jobs to escape the prospect of a prolonged, mediocre future, the head of the International Monetary Fund said on Thursday.

Speaking at the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington DC, Christine Lagarde laid out the prospects for the global economy and the priorities for the international organization in the year ahead.
