A mobile app that is intended to show that biodiversity or the natural world is not "detached from humankind" has been launched at a UN conference by an association of the world's zoos.

The app which is part of a broader campaign, called "Biodiversity is Us" shows how the behaviour of humans can directly affect the well-being of animals and the planet.

Florencia Soto Nino is in South Korea where the international community is meeting to discuss the Convention on Biological Diversity.

She caught up with Gerald Dick, Executive Director of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, who explained what the world zoo community was hoping to achieve with the campaign.
