Women in Caribbean need to understand "bigger picture" on climate change

Women in the Caribbean need to understand the "bigger picture" on climate change so they can engage with policy makers and influence decisions which impact them.

That's the view of a senior projects officer of the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC), which is based in Barbados.

As part of its work on climate issues, the organization is encouraging women and other marginalized groups across the region to engage in the so-called "green economy."

It brings together the three pillars of sustainable development, the economic, social and environmental.

Daniel Dickinson asked CPDC's Kimberley Gittens whether there was enough participation in the climate change debate from women.
