The campaign's message is clear: men and boys can help end the persisting inequalities faced by women and girls globally. British actress Emma Watson has recently been appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and co-hosted the kick-start event. Stephanie Coutrix asked Elizabeth Nyamayaro, Senior Advisor at UN Women, about the HeForShe campaign and Ms. Watson's involvement.

The ability of the semi-nomadic pastoralist communities in Uganda's Karamoja region to move freely is being hampered by changing weather patterns. That's according to a climate and development expert who works with the Riamiriam Civil Society Network Karamoja in Uganda. The prolonged drought and lack of resources are also making it difficult for these marginalized communities to sustain their livestock. As one of the panelists at a UN Climate Summit session entitled "Voices from the Climate Front Lines", Sylvia Atugonza Kapello urged for better policies that respond to the real needs on the ground. Speaking to Jocelyne Sambira, she said that people- not just governments- had to do their share to fight climate change.
