Fighting terrorism in Syria and Iraq is already emerging as one of the key issues that world leaders will be debating this week at the UN General Assembly.

In his speech to the General Assembly, the US President said his country would work to dismantle what he called the terrorists' "network of death"

The rise in the region of the terrorist group ISIL and the videos it has posted of beheadings has shocked much of the world.

The debate is taking place against the backdrop of airstrikes being carried out by the United States.
