UN Sustainable Development Goals need to be more ambitious

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) need to be more ambitious and more specific.

Christine Bosse, an advocate for the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and Chairman of the non-profit Borne Foundation said on Thursday.

She is part of a group of eminent personalities who support the Secretary-General in building political will and mobilizing global action to address extreme poverty, hunger and disease.

The UN is holding its 69th session of its annual debate where over 120 heads of state and government are gathered.

On the margins of a Roll Back Malaria Partnership event, Jocelyne Sambira asked Ms Bosse to reflect on the progress made.
