Probe finds UN helicopter was shot down in South Sudan

The preliminary findings of a UN investigation into the circumstances surrounding a UN helicopter crash in South Sudan have revealed that it was shot down.

Three Russian crew members died and one was seriously injured when the helicopter crashed on the 26 August as it was flying from Wau in Western Bahr El Ghazal State to Bentiu.

UNMISS spokesperson Joseph Contreras spoke to David Lukan about the investigation into the crash.
