Minister of Guyana highlights needs of CARICOM countries

The Foreign Affairs Minister of Guyana says the advancements made by Caribbean countries should not be reversed.

On Saturday, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett chaired a meeting at UN Headquarters in New York, on the margins of the 69th General Assembly.

Members of CARICOM, the Caribbean Community Secretariat, met with the UN Secretary-General to discuss the challenges they face in meeting new sustainable development goals.

Stephanie Coutrix asked Minister Rodrigues-Birkett about the main issues CARICOM expressed to Mr Ban Ki-moon.
