Militant Islam is spreading in all regions of the world, according to the Prime Minister of Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu was on Monday speaking at the 69th session of the General Assembly.

In his speech, the Minister compared the terrorist group ISIS to cancer, saying that to protect the peace and security of the world, ISIS must be removed.

Mr Netanyahu said the groups' ultimate goal is to dominate the world.

He said all religions and ethnicities are targets.

“Everywhere we look, militant Islam is on the march. It's not militants, it's not Islam, it is militant Islam. And typically, its first victims are other Muslims, but it spares no one. Christians, Jews, Yazidis, Kurds, no creed, no faith, no ethnic group is beyond its sights.” (0'26")

Minister Netanyahu noted that the question is whether militant Islam will have the power to realize its ambitions.

He added that the Palestinian faction Hamas shares the same global ambitions as ISIS.
