International criminal justice system faces challenges: UN Prosecutor

The international criminal justice system is facing challenges, according to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).

Serge Brammertz attended a recent annual meeting of international prosecutors at the Robert Jackson Centre near Buffalo City in the United States.

Prosecutors from the tribunals for Rwanda, Cambodia and Sierra Leone as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC), were also in attendance.

Derrick Mbatha sat down Mr. Brammertz and first asked him about the meeting at the Robert Jackson Centre.
