General public can contribute to stop climate change

People across the world can make a tangible contribution to reducing climate change through the personal choices they make, according to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Those choices include decisions about what to buy as well as getting involved in local initiatives aimed at reducing the emissions of greenhouse gasses which cause climate change.

Cassie Flynn is an expert from UNDP Energy and Environment Group.

Joyce De Pina asked Ms Flynn what role ordinary citizens can play locally in helping to mitigate what is a global phenomenon.
