Economic situation remains most critical issue for CARICOM

Caribbean countries remain economically vulnerable and require continued support, according to the Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community Secretariat, CARICOM.

Irwin LaRocque was at UN Headquarters in New York over the weekend to meet with the UN Secretary-General and a group of ministers from the CARICOM nations.

Although Mr LaRoque considers the recent conference on Small Island and Developing States to have been a success, he says climate change "continues to loom".

Stephanie Coutrix asked him about his main message on behalf of Caribbean nations.
