OVER 60 MEETUPS ARE BEING HELD ALL OVER THE WORLD, COVERING THE THEME “CONNECTING FOR GOOD: CONNECTING FOR ALL”

Grass-roots activists are getting together with business, civil society and the United Nations to discuss how technology and new media can create equality for all by the year 2030.

They're meeting at the fifth Social Good Summit which takes place annually on the margins of the UN General Assembly debate attended by heads of state and government.

The organizers say the summit is the largest gathering of global citizens during the debate week.

Joyce De Pina asked Boaz Paldi of the United Nations Development Programme why the UN was getting involved.
