Urgent need for aid in Ukraine as shelling continues in Lugansk

The population of Lugansk in eastern Ukraine is in urgent need of aid because of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the city.

That's according to the International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC.

Heavy shelling continues between separatist and government forces for control of the city.

A Russian aid convoy arrived in Ukraine on Sunday against the wishes of the authorities.

Jérôme Longué asked Stéphane Bonamy, an ICRC delegate in New York about the growing insecurity in the area.
