An effective outcome is expected from the 6th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) which starts in Bali, Indonesia on Friday.

That's what has been said by Nassir Al-Nasser, the High Representative of the UNAOC who is attending the meeting under the theme "Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values".

Mr. Al-Nasser told UN Radio that the Alliance is not only focusing on the relationship between the West and the Islamic world but is addressing all the issues affecting humanity.

"We see turbulence or turmoil going around. Besides, the world is just recovering slowly from the financial crisis and now we are facing political crises here and there, whether it's cultural, religious or different race. I think the message is clear, especially coming from a country like Indonesia, it will be very effective." (28")

Mr Al-Nasser said on Friday, a ministerial meeting is expected to endorse a declaration sending a very strong message to the world encouraging dialogue, respect and understanding among people and societies.
