Transparency is crucial in the next round of the presidential elections in Afghanistan to avoid possible fraud says a senior UN official in the country.

Two candidates are taking part in the second ballot of votes on June 14th.

The polls mark the first transfer of power from one democratically elected leader to another and are the first to be under the full control of Afghan authorities.

The country has been troubled by decades of instability.

Tilak Pokharel asked the UN Deputy Special Representative in Afghanistan, Nicholas Haysom, about the preparations for the elections.
