Political solutions need to be found to solve humanitarian crises around the world according to the chief of the UN refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Antonio Guterres was speaking as the agency launched its annual Global Trends report which shows a record number of displaced people in 2013.

For the first time since the Second World war more than 50 million people have become refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced.

On World Refugee Day, Thomas Kryger has been speaking to Mr Guterres.

He began by asking him about the situation in Iraq, the most recent humanitarian crisis that UNCHR is dealing with.
