The United Nations has said it will continue the task of what it calls "tough" fundraising for the crisis in South Sudan, despite pledges of $600 million dollars made by the international community on Tuesday.

The money was pledged at a UN-backed conference in Norway and will be used to scale up the response to the continuing humanitarian crisis in the country.

Over 1.3 million people have fled their homes since violence erupted last December.

Gabriel Shadar asked Hilde Johnson the head of the UN mission in the country (UNMISS) how successful the fundraising conference had been.
