Peacekeeping adapts to new challenges

Peacekeeping operations of the United Nations are needing to adapt to confront the new political and security challenges across the world.

That's the view of the UN Assistant-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Edmond Mulet.

Speaking on International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, he said the theme of the commemoration ‘A Force for Peace, a Force for Change, a Force for the Future’ reflects the transformation missions are undertaking

Jorge Miyares asked Mr Mulet about the importance of the International Day.
