Presidential elections in Malawi have been declared "free and credible" by the top UN official in the country.

The incumbent President Joyce Banda came to power two years ago after the sudden death of President Bingu wa Mutharika.

Mr Mutharika’s brother is one of 12 presidential candidates and one of her main challengers.

Joshua Mmali asked Mia Seppo, the UN Resident Coordinator in Malawi about how the vote had gone.
