Agreement to end South Sudan crisis yet to be put into action

Commitments to end the conflict in South Sudan should immediately be put into action, according to the United Nations Secretary-General.

Ban Ki-moon welcomed the signing on Friday of an agreement between the two opposing sides in the crisis.

However, less than 48 hours after the agreement, fighting has been reported in the town of Bentiu, the capital of Unity State.
