Kiribati to stay "resilient and prepared" for climate change

The island of Kiribati says it must remain resilient and prepared for the challenges presented by climate change.

The low-lying Pacific Ocean archipelago is facing extensive flooding in the future if sea levels rise due to new climatic conditions.

The Kiribati Minister of Communications, Rimeta Beniamina, recently attended the World Telecommunication Development conference in Dubai, organised by the UN's International Telecommunication Union (ITU), to discuss how information technology could help the country.

Maximillian Jacobson-Gonzalez asked him about the challenges Kiribati faces.
