Relief agencies are rushing in basic supplies to victims of floods which hit northern Afghanistan last week.

More than 100 people are reported to have died in the floods which destroyed thousands of houses and left some people trapped on the rooftops of their homes.

United Nations agencies are working with the Afghan Red Crescent in support of the government's relief efforts.
