Women in South Sudan are recognizing the sacrifices made by government soldiers by donating food and other supplies to the men who they describe as "wounded heroes."

A group of women from Agar Community in Lakes State made the donation to over 1300 soldiers being treated at a hospital in Juba, saying they want to encourage peace and not war.

Sebbi Abdul, spoke to a representative of the group, Victoria Anit Majur.

She told him that they gave as much as they could afford.
