The government of Somalia needs continued international support as it works to rebuild federal state institutions and hold its first truly national elections in 2016.
That message has come from Ambassador Nicholas Kay, the head of the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) who was at the UN to brief the Security Council on the situation in the country.
Derrick Mbatha caught up with Ambassador Kay, and first asked him about what UNSOM is doing in the Horn of Africa country.
