"Sense of belonging" nurtured at UN Inter-Agency GamesListen /
Whatever time of the day, somewhere in the world there will be a UN staff member or peacekeeper hard at work……but the UN family also does get the opportunity to play.
The annual United Nations Inter-Agency Games is the organization's very-own Olympic Games, although participants from across the world are competing not under their national flag but for their workplace.
This year's event is taking place on Long Island in the United States and was opened by the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Jan Eliasson.
Dedicated and talented tennis player, Stephanie Coutrix caught up with Mr Eliasson and asked him about the games and the importance of sport.
