Radiation Oncology is a medical method used for treating cancer. It uses ionizing radiation to kill cancer cells.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) provides its Member States with the assistance needed to build the infrastructure and train personnel to implement the treatment.

Steve Thatchet spoke to Eduardo Rosenblatt, the Section Head of IAEA's applied radiation biology and radiotherapy section.
