Killing of Somali Parliamentarian condemned by UN envoyListen /
The murder of a Somali Member of Parliament has been strongly condemned by the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Somalia, Nicholas Kay.
Isaak Mohamed Rino was killed in the country's capital Mogadishu on Monday morning when a bomb planted in his car detonated.
Another parliamentarian, Mohamed Ali and several civilians were reportedly injured in the incident.
The UN envoy has called for a full investigation of what he described as a "terrorist attack" and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice swiftly.
According to reports, the Al Shabaab Islamist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
