Cities go under spotlight in Colombia

Creating cities which are liveable and prosperous for all people is the goal of an international meeting which begins in Medellin, Colombia on Saturday.

The bi-annual World Urban Forum (WUF) convened by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) examines the most pressing issues facing the planet due to rapid urbanization.

Delegates from across the world are focussing on the interface between cities and the elaboration of the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

Joan Clos, the Executive Director of UN-Habitat is in Medellin for the forum.

Daniel Dickinson has been speaking to him and began by asking him what makes a good city.
