Brazilian footballer to promote AIDS awareness

A Brazilian football player is appealing to fans around the world to end the discrimination of people with HIV and AIDS.

David Luiz, a Brazil international and player for the English club, Chelsea, was making the appeal on behalf of the United Nations agency that focuses on AIDS, UNAIDS after being named Goodwill Ambassador for the organization.

His appointment comes ahead of the World Cup which kicks off in Brazil in June.
