Best-selling author calls for global support for Syrian refugees in IraqListen /
The Best-selling author, Khaled Hosseini has called for more global support for Syrian refugees living in Iraq.
Mr Hosseini, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), is also is a former refugee from Afghanistan.
He visited two camps in northern Iraq which are home to around 20,000 Syrians.
Like millions of their compatriots, they have been forcibly displaced by the ongoing civil war in Syria.
The author who wrote "The Kite Runner" talked to refugees, including Payman, an aspiring young writer.
