$5 billion needed annually to eradicate deaths from malaria

Five billion dollars a year is needed to eradicate deaths from malaria according to the UN-supported Roll Back Malaria campaign.

Approximately half of the world’s population live in malaria-affected areas.

In Africa a child under five dies every minute from the disease.

On World Malaria Day celebrated on the 25th of April each year, Isabelle Dupuis asked Roll Back Malaria's Eric Mouzin about the challenge of reaching people who are at risk of catching malaria.
