"We may lose the gains we've made": Special Envoy for AIDS in Asia and the Pacific

Bringing the fight against HIV/AIDS to the forefront of development goals on health is one of Prasada Rao's main goals as the Secretary-General's Special Envoy for AIDS in Asia and the Pacific.

In Asia and the Pacific, the number of new HIV infections has fallen by 26 per cent in the last ten years, with a number of countries reducing infections by over 50 per cent in that time.

Stephanie Coutrix asked Prasada Rao about the challenges he faces as Envoy on AIDS in Asia and the implications of his work as emissary.
