The United Nations says a "mistake" was made when weapons were transported by road in contravention of an agreement with the Government of South Sudan.

The UN is only allowed to move arms belonging to peacekeepers by air.

It's thought the weapons were found inside 12 trucks that were heading to the town of Rumbek.

An investigation has now been launched.

Ariane Quentier, is a Spokesperson for UNMISS.

Sani Martin asked her about the reaction of the Special Representative of the Secretary General to the incident.
