Seven students from different countries were selected to participate in a theatre workshop that focuses on creative writing and acting.

The culmination of this project, directed by artist and educator Shelah Marie, is a performance at the UN's commemoration of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Stephanie Coutrix spoke with several energetic students who each expressed their thoughts about this unique experience on stage at the United Nations.
