Displaced girl from South Sudan – UNMISS.

Children are being given the opportunity to study for the first time in a UN camp for displaced people in South Sudan.

Fighting between government forces and rebels has driven hundreds of thousands of people out of their homes and for many children that has meant the interruption of their formal education.

In Malakal, the UN mission, UNMISS has teamed up with the UN Children's Fund, UNICEF to provide schooling for 500 young boys and girls.

Many more want to register.

Sebbit Abdu asked Nyuyen Phuong, an education specialist for UNICEF, what facilities they are providing.
