Small Island Developing States discuss tourism as key for developmentListen /
The role of tourism in the economies of small island development states is being discussed at a two-day conference in the Bahamas starting on Wednesday.
Ministers of Tourism, Transport and Airline Executives from Latin America and the Caribbean, experts and other stakeholders are participating in the meeting in Nassau.
The conference, under the theme "Tourism as a Key Sector for Development in Island States” is being held in conjunction with the United Nations Tourism Organization and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
