The people of the Philippines have been praised for their ability to recover from the deadly typhoon which devastated parts of the country just over two months ago.

Typhoon Haiyan which struck the country last November killed nearly 6000 people and displaced millions more.

The United Nations has been heavily engaged in the recovery effort appealing for almost $800 million dollars to carry out rehabilitation programmes.

One of the worst affected areas was Tacloban.

The UN Development Programme (UNDP) has been supporting the Filipino authorities in the city.

Lesley Wright asked UNDP's Senior Recovery Coordinator in Tacloban, Yuri Afanasiev, how UNDP responded to the disaster.
