Secretary-General condemns deadly attack on Yemen Defence MinistryListen /
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has strongly condemned terrorist attacks against Yemen's Defence Ministry which killed more than 20 people on Thursday.
According to media reports, militants rammed a car filled with explosives into the Ministry headquarters in the capital, Sana'a, while gunmen on foot battled security forces in another section of the complex.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, the Secretary-General called for full cooperation with the investigation into the incident, with a view to bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Mr. Ban firmly believes the only path to a stable, prosperous and democratic Yemen is through the ongoing peaceful and all-inclusive National Dialogue Conference, the statement continued.
