Increasing urbanization over the next decades presents not only unprecedented challenges for humanity but also opportunities to curb climate change.

That's according to the world's first global assessment on the relationship between urbanization and biodiversity loss, entitled Cities and Biodiversity Outlook (CBO).

The report, co-produced by the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) and the Secretariat of the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) and its partners, was launched on Friday.
