Staff members of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) are walking taller after the organization won this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

That's what the spokesperson for OPCW, Michael Luhan, speaking from The Hague in the Netherlands, told UN Radio on Friday.

The Organization is currently supervising the destruction of Syria's chemical weapons in accordance with a Security Council resolution unanimously adopted last month.

Michael Luhan tells UN Radio's Ben Malor the reaction of the OPCW to winning this year's Nobel Peace Prize is "a combination of jubilation and quiet satisfaction at the same time."
