Local populations in CAR witness horror as crisis deepensListen /
An entire community in the eastern town of Bangassou in Central African Republic (CAR) is in shock, after enduring months of violence in sectarian clashes between former rebels and self-defence groups.
Deputy Special Representative for CAR, Kaarina Immonen, has just returned from a fact-finding mission with the Archbishop of Bangui and the country's representative of the Muslim Community.
According to the UN, the situation in the country is "volatile, unpredictable and lawless.”
Kaarina Immonen shared with UN Radio's Jocelyne Sambira, the grievances of the local populations.
