Over two million Syrians are now refugees, according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Antonio Guterres says while the first million people fled Syria over two years, the second million fled the country in six months. He added that one-third of the Syrian population is displaced, either inside or outside the country, and almost half of the Syrian population is in need of assistance, either inside or outside of the country.

Beng Poblete-Enriquez has the story.
