"Disability is not inability" says UN chief

World leaders on Monday met to discuss the inclusion of people with disabilities in sustainable development.

It is the first time that the UN General Assembly is holding a High-Level Meeting on Disabilities and Development.

World leaders are expected to adopt a document, which, among other things, recognizes disability as an important human rights issue.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one billion people live with a disability, or one in seven persons in the world has a disability.
