A Burkina Faso youth says peace is important for AfricaListen /
Hundreds of young people gathered at the United Nations on Wednesday to mark the International Day of Peace under the theme "Educate for Peace".
The day is observed around the world on 21st of September each year to reflect and reiterate the belief in non-violence and to call for a global ceasefire.
The teenagers shared their experiences in working for peace in their communities around the world.
Derrick Mbatha caught up with Kevin Kogda from Burkina Faso who is a high school student at the United Nations International School, and first asked him about the importance of peace for Africa.
