"The Syrian crisis is the biggest threat to peace and security in the world" – Brahimi

Lakhdar Brahimi

The Joint Special Representative of the United Nations and the League of Arab States for Syria says "The Syrian crisis is undoubtedly the biggest threat to peace and security in the world today".

Lakhdar Brahimi says "The problem is that the parties that are involved in this civil war, each one of them think that they can win militarily". He stressed that there is no military solution to the crisis adding that no side is going to win.

UN Television's Andrew Martin spoke to Mr. Brahimi about this dangerous situation.
