The ongoing conflict in Syria, which is now in its third year, is causing enormous suffering to the country's children, say two United Nations agencies.

According to the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) and the UN children's agency (UNICEF) nearly three million children have been displaced by the crisis.

The two agencies estimate that more than two million Syrians have been displaced within their country while another one million children have been forced to flee to neighbouring countries.

Derrick Mbatha reports.
