• As unrest continues in Egypt, the UN human rights office is concerned about the acts of violence that happened this week. It says it is "alarmed" at the situation and reiterates its call for human rights officers to go to the country to assess the situation on the ground. Humanitarian agencies operating in Egypt are also concerned about this situation.

During the years of conflict, all FIFA activities and events in Somalia were held in neighbouring countries like Djibouti. However, with the improvement of security in the country, FIFA held the first ever grassroots training course in the capital Mogadishu  this month

Sahel

• One of the driest regions in the world is the Sahel in Africa which stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is based in Vienna, Austria, is working together with the Sahel countries to map the available groundwater in the region, using a technique known as "Isotope Hydrology".
